Oxfam suffers security breach

NEWS Charity group, Oxfam, was hit by a security attack yesterday in which the email details of 300 customers were accessed. A spokeswoman for the group explained a friendly hack was suspected but that no data had been downloaded. The organisation is just the latest in a series of high profile names to have suffered security breaches in recent weeks. However, Oxfam immediately shut down its website and this morning alerted all 300 affected users and requested them to report any suspicious mail to the organisation. The organisation confirmed that no credit card details had been accessed.
