Swedish Trojan horse threatens Palm OS

NEWS A Swedish software developer, Aaron Ardiri, has posted a Trojan horse virus on the Web, which he claims attacks the Palm OS. The Trojan horse - called 'The Liberty Emulator' - is designed to delete data and applications from PDAs operating on the Palm OS. Ardiri said in a comment posted on palmstation.com - a palm developer's forum - that he had designed the programme for a future project, rather than malicious gain. In an official statement, Palm said any electronic platform is susceptible to hackers, but assured users there is no need to worry if the device is protected by anti-virus software.
