Work starts on Symbian security

Finnish anti-virus company Fsecure has announced it will be developing products based on the Symbian platform, the handheld operating system.

NEWS Fsecure will be manufacturing products on Symbian, the alliance created with Ericsson, Matsushita, Motorola and Nokia to develop content security applications to protect virus and hack attacks aimed at wireless content. Defacement and web graffiti are amongst the biggest threats for wireless and fixed internet content. The two companies aim to develop joint marketing and sales strategies to coincide with product launches later this year.
