NEWS A malicious Trojan, called 'Goga', could be giving virus writers access to Microsoft users' details. The Trojan code spreads when users open infected RTF files, a Microsoft standard for encoding formatted text and graphics, attached to emails. When activated the code seeks out MS Word, downloading code from a remote website. This code creates a text file containing the infected user's internet access data, including passwords, before sending it on to the remote site for collection. Kaspersky Labs has detected several instances of the Trojan in the wild. (Kaspersky Labs recommends downloading a MS Word patch from http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/MS01-028.asp ).
