Baltimore writes out P45s for 400

Bad news from Ireland

NEWS Baltimore is poised to announce 400 job losses this week in reaction to poor sales figures. Baltimore is expected to reveal a half year pre-tax loss of £18m on Wednesday. The company, once valued at £13bn, is now worth just £115m. The job losses come on top of the 250 already announced in May. A source close the company told the Independent on Sunday that between 250 and 400 people will be asked to leave. The paper also reports that Baltimore - which employs around 1,400 people - is considering disposing of Content Technologies.
