NEWS US Customs have arrested two men for trying to sell top-secret encryption devices to China. The machines are technologically very advanced and need special approval from the National Security Agency (NSA) before they can be taken outside the US. The two men were arrested after a four-month investigation with customs officers posing as intermediaries who were pretending to help to export the devices to a third party. The devices, known as KIV-7HS are used to secure and safeguard classified communications, according to news service IDG. The high-profile devices provide cryptographic functions in Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) architectures to provide encrypted high-bandwidth data transmission via satellite with a range of data speeds.
