NEWS Anti-virus vendor Trend Micro has agreed to protect the EU summits against malware. The agreement covers over 400 workstations at four EU summits to be held later this year in Bruges, Brussels, Geneva and Ghent. Trend Micro's desktop software, OfficeScan, will be installed in the workstations to protect all communication and content from viruses. German technology company Siemens will be managing all of the communication and security logistics for the summits and supervising the number of projects, ranging from the lighting and the central telephone systems to the portable offices to be used by those attending the summits.
