NEWS A serious vulnerability has been discovered in Nokia mobile phones which lets hackers shut down a phone just by sending a text message. The problem is a development of a previously known program called sms_client and enables hackers to send a message from a PC that makes it impossible to turn a phone back on. The flaw was discovered by Job de Haas, security researcher at ITSX, and made public at the Black Hat conference last week. The problem is thought to affect at least the Nokia 6210, 3310 and 3330 phones and possibly other models.
