Tiny unveils Trojan catcher

NEWS US-based security firm Tiny Software has unveiled a Trojan catcher for PCs. Trojan Trap is security software designed to protect workstations against attacks from attached files which may contain Trojans. A Trojan is malicious piece of code which can spy on users' keystrokes or try to steal passwords. Users can often download the malware from the internet by accident or receive it via email as it can be hidden inside ActiveX, Java, VBS and other executable code files. The Trojan Trap scans the attached files from any harmful piece code that might be lurking inside an innocent-looking file. Trojan Trap is designed to work together with a personal firewall and anti-virus software.
