NEWS Microsoft released fixes for a total of six security holes in its Internet Explorer browser on Monday.
The news comes one month after Bill Gates told Microsoft developers to reassess the security aspects of the company's software (see http://www.silicon.com/a50311 ).
The bug fixes included two patches for security flaws in Microsoft's Exchange 2000 and Windows 2000 server software.
The holes exposed critical information about the system registry as well as allowing a
malicious hacker to alter the registry itself.
