NAI appoints regional chiefs

Offloads firewall business...

NEWS Network Associates (NAI) has appointed a new UK boss and other top European management and sold off its firewall business. Barry Walker will manage the United Kingdom, Ireland and South Africa. Walker has been in the IT industry for over 20 years and was appointed to his current post from CE Solutions, a firm specialising in software for the manufacturing industry. NAI has also appointed Guy Goodman to manage its German business, Javier Colado to be responsible for Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Paul van Hugte will run the Nordics, central and eastern European region. NAI has also sold its Gauntlet firewall and VPN business to Secure Computing for an undisclosed amount. Around 4,000 Gauntlet customers and 100 resellers will be transferred to Secure Computing , NAI said.
