Apple accused of piracy by Disney chief

"The killer app for the computer industry is piracy..."

NEWS Disney CEO Michael Eisner has blamed PC and software companies for the spread of illegal digital copying of music and movies and singled out Apple for particular ire. Eisner was testifying before the US Senate Commerce Committee, which is investigating the threat to the entertainment industry posed by 'illegal' copying. He told the Committee that piracy has become the killer app for the computer industry. 'They think their short-term growth is predicated on pirated content," he added. Eisner singled out's 'Rip.Mix.Burn' marketing campaign for particular criticism.
