NEWS Attendees at the world's largest trade show Comdex have had their personal information made available on the internet. A fault in the conference's software allowed visitors to the site to view other users' profiles and shopping carts. The flawed software allowed any user to manipulate registration data, which then exposed names and addresses of senior staff at law firms and financial institutions. The Comdex site is run by Key3Media who said the breach was only limited to a few thousand names. The firm said it removed the database as soon as the flaw became apparent.
