NEWS AT&T and IBM have both unveiled privacy tools this week. IBM has developed a tool which is designed to help companies automate their privacy practices. The software transforms companies' privacy policies into easy-to-use guidelines which can advise employees on how to protect customers' privacy, for instance. Meanwhile, AT&T has designed software which alerts surfers to the privacy settings of websites. The Privacy Bird automatically searches websites for their privacy policy and then compares it to the surfer's own pre-set policies.
