Microsoft releases huge IE bug fix

NEWS Microsoft has released a massive bug fix to patch six new holes in its Internet Explorer browser. Three of the flaws are described as "critical". One bug occurs during cross-site scripting - when a browser sends information in a link to another browser. The flaw could give a malicious hacker access to a user's computer. The bug affects IE 6.0 only. The other two flaws can compromise data held on a PC's hard drive. However, a hacker would need to know the exact names of files to access them. The patch also includes a number of fixes for bugs in older versions of IE. The patch can be downloaded from the Microsoft technical support site:
