NEWS Japan's Defence Agency is considering excluding Fujitsu from all further government contract work after a group of men obtained security data from a Fujitsu-built network. According to the Japanese computer company, a group of men, one of whom is said to be a former Navy member, hacked into one of the agency's systems and then tried to blackmail Fujitsu with the information obtained. According to Japanese news agency Kyodo, the men made several visits to Fujitsu to demand money in exchange for their not selling the network diagrams and internet protocol addresses to communist North Korea. Police were called yesterday and the case is now under investigation.
