Microsoft: No patches this month

But the vulnerabilities remain...

NEWS It seems Microsoft is following feast with famine in the security world. Following the bumper crop of security patches that Microsoft released last month, March's patch of fixes will be non-existent.

The monthly patching cycle should see the security updates released on 8 March but this month the software giant has nothing to release.

Last month saw the Redmond company release 12 patches, over half of which were rated critical.

According to security company Secunia, of the 79 vulnerabilities the firm has spotted, 20 remain unpatched.

While no patches will be leaving Redmond's gates, Microsoft will, however, hold a webcast to discuss security issues on 9 March. More information can be found here.

I do wish the "Does Linux add up to lower TCO" Microsuck ads weren't on Silicon. They get annoyingly stupid after the zeroeth viewing.

Typical anti-microsoft rhetoric, don't you find that you bore yourself with your ever so humourous Micro$NOUN/$VERB derivations.

You get this site for free, obviously find it of use as you've bothered to comment on this story and yet you still begrudge them funding themselves via advertising.

Grow up and join the real world Goten.

No patches - bad for business!

Surely the whole idea of designing an operating syatem which was not of merchantable quality & which did not function satisfactorily has been to induce people to pay for upgrades to the "new" o/s??????????
