NEWS UK security firm Clearswift has announced its new CEO following the departure of now two-time CEO David Guyatt.
Guyatt is replaced by Jon Lee who joins Clearswift from Fair Isaac. He was also formerly CEO of London Bridge Software until the acquisition by Fair Isaac in May 2004.
Guyatt will stay on as a board member and remains a significant shareholder in Clearswift.
Carl Symon, chairman of Clearswift, said: "[Guyatt has] had a significant positive impact on every aspect of the business from product development to sales and marketing in the past year. As a result, Clearswift has just completed its most successful ever financial year and is in a unique position to meet the ever-evolving Enterprise Email and Web security requirements with its comprehensive suite of content security solutions."
"We are delighted that Jon has agreed to take on the role," added Symon.
Guyatt originally intended to leave Clearswift at the end of 2004 but agreed to stay on until the end of the fiscal year, before stepping down to spend more time on other business interests which include a chain of pubs and a music business.
Guyatt said: "It is now the right time to step down as I have achieved what I set out to do. The company is firmly back at the forefront of this exciting market and the time is right to hand over the reins to Jon Lee so that he can lead Clearswift into its next phase of growth."
