In brief: NetStore supports ground-breaking G5 protocol

NEWS NetStore has unveiled what it claims is the first software to use secure G5 communications. Using the G5 Messaging standard can make email and other forms of electronic evidence stand up in a court of justice, the firm claims. NetStore's Legally Admissible Messaging (LAM) archives email remotely and provides a guarantee that the message was sent and received as described, without being altered. However, LAM will not be available until the end of the year, when version 1.0 of the G5 Messaging standard is due. NetStore and a growing band of supporters, including Xerox and Philips, say G5 promises a step forward from email, offering secure, legal transfer of all files, including multimedia documents.
