Sun Life Assurance goes for Energis data service

By Polly Raymond, 1 July 1998 16:21

NEWS Telecoms operator, Energis, has won a £2.25m contract to supply Sun Life Assurance with an advanced data service. The Frame Relay-based LANConnect service will support business communications between the insurance company's Basingstoke headquarters and regional centres across the UK. Sales professionals will use the fast data sharing service to maximise productivity, according to the company. Energis's LANConnect will replace Sun Life Assurance's managed network which had proved no longer capable of handling the firm's incresingly data-intensive business.
