NEWS Middleware vendor Neon Systems will launch its ShadowWebserver 4.1 on Tuesday. The firm claims its software makes high-level, ecommerce transactions possible using mainframe data. The release allows companies with IMS transactional systems to get Web transactions up and running without any additional host or CGI programming, according to Neon. Prices start from £25,000 for the smallest mainframes. Neon plans to follow up with a version for CICS systems in the next couple of months.
