NEWS Chemicals company S Black has revamped its accounting system with a £90,000 SunAccounts program from Systems Union. Year 2000 and euro compliancy partly drove the decision, but the need for improved efficiency and reporting features was more urgent, according to FD John Lowton. SunAccounts will replace the company's legacy Unity system - which was installed five years ago - at its Hertfordshire HQ. Unity will remain in place in its other offices, but according to Lowten, it can be easily interfaced with the Systems Union software. The system will be linked to a parallel accounting system running in the company's German-based subsidiary.
