In brief: Indian services firm comes to Europe

NEWS Top Indian technology company, Wipro Infotech, has launched in Europe. The service provider, originally set up in Bangalore - India's Silicon Valley - already has a European client list that includes General Electric, ASDA and Scottish Power. It specialises in ERP, ecommerce, data warehousing and engineering design services. Since its launch, the company has grown to become number one in market capitalisation and number two in revenue in the Indian technology market. This year, the company has forecast a 70 per cent growth rate with revenues in excess of £200m.
