NEWS Services company Logica has posted strong year-end results, with a leap in pre-tax profits of 49 per cent. The company cited a strong demand in the utilities sector - which has had to plough significant investment into IT after deregulation - as a factor in its good fortunes. The telecommunications and public sectors also performed well for the company over the last year. Profits from the firm's European interests rose by almost a third. CEO Martin Reid said revenues will be ploughed back in to the company through acquisitions.
