Cabletron sees profits slip away

NEWS Cabletron Systems has released results for the second quarter of its 1999 financial year. Profits fell to $14.6m, compared to $57.6m for the same quarter last year. The firm's revenues for the period ending 31 August dropped to $365.7m compared to $371.3m in the same period last year. Net sales fell slightly to $370.6m from $371.3m.
