Lotus Notes claims lion's share of the market

NEWS Lotus Notes is the preferred choice in groupware, according to the latest research by IDC. The study shows over 40 per cent of Europeans use Lotus Notes, while only 20.3 per cent use Novell's Groupwise. Microsoft came third, claiming 15.3 per cent of the market. Notes also won over 42 per cent of new users compared with Microsoft's 24.8 per cent. IDC predicts the groupware market will grow from last year's figure of 12.8 million users to 52 million in 2002.
