NEWS Motorola yesterday took Internet telephony one step forward with the unveiling of VoxML, a language which transmits Web content down a telephone. Web developers can use VoxML to incorporate speech technologies into their content. People dialling into the site from a standard digital phone can then get the text in audio form. Motorola's Mitesh Patel, head of Internet and Connectivity Services, said the Weather Channel and CBS MarketWatch.com were already testing the technology.
