Surrey Police tipped for high-tech award at GIS 98

NEWS Surrey Police Force is tipped for an industry award at next week's GIS 98 conference. The Geographical Information Systems event will be held at Birmingham NEC from the 13-15 October, and Surrey Police looks set scoop up the prize for best GIS project. The force's latest geographical enterprise mapping system has already strengthened its reputation for being the most high-tech police units in the country. The presentation will take place on 14 October at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham. GIS 98 is held in conjunction with three other information management shows on the same site; Database Expo 98, Document 98 and Software Development 98.
