Orange to build Durham call centre

NEWS Orange is to build a £5m customer service call centre in County Durham, creating 500 jobs. It will be the mobile operator's third call centre in the North East of England, and follows the opening in June of an £11m facility in Darlington. Orange's chief operating officer, Bob Fuller, said the move shows the firm's continued commitment to the region, and claimed the facility will help Orange maintain its current levels of customer service, which he described as the best in the mobile phone industry.
