NEWS Sportingbet.com, the tax-free online betting site, is planning to float on the alternative stock exchange, Ofex, on Thursday - a move traditionally seen as a precursor to full listing. The company hopes to raise £1.2m. The site is based on Alderney in the Channel Islands and enjoys its tax-free status providing it doesn't take bets from Alderney residents. It currently has 800 members who together bet about £40,000 a week.
