NEWS The merger between pharmaceutical giants Zeneca and Astra has hit a snag in the form of an extended investigation by the US Federal Trade Commission. EU regulators have also asked for an extra two weeks to consider the deal - pushing the deadline back to 1 March. The companies put out a joint statement saying they expected the deal to be approved in the second quarter of this year.
