Lancaster students get NT voicemail

NEWS The UK's largest NT-based voicemail system has been launched at Lancaster University. The 96-port Speakeasy system will serve around 5,000 university staff and students. The system has improved staff and student communications and streamlined administration processes, but is also used intensively for social communications. Speakeasy was supplied by Voice Integrated Products (VIP) through integrator, Brooktrout Technologies. According to Brooktrout, the system has helped to alleviate considerable communications problems at the university, and is playing a part in attracting students to Lancaster.
