NEWS Manchester City Council has awarded Bull a contract to provide its Supplies Organisation with a SAP software system. The contract, valued at £350,000, will run for seven months while Bull rolls out supply and management tools. The City Supplies Organisation - which serves one of the UK's largest urban authorities - is responsible for delivering equipment to schools, offices and social services operations. Ian Coop, project manager at the Council, said he hopes to reduce the current 2,000 product lines to 750 using SAP's R/3 system.
