Convoy transports data tool to IBM

By Suzanna Kerridge, 7 April 1999 17:03

NEWS Tools company Convoy Corporation has announced the integration of its data interfacing tool with IBM's messaging queuing software, MQSeries. Convoy will use IBM's product to support the transportation of applications across heterogeneous systems. The company's DM tool currently provides transformation, validation and mapping of tools between disparate Wan and Lan workgroups. Scott Armour, director worldwide ISV sales and marketing at IBM, said the agreement provided much needed support for data transfer in legacy systems. He claimed companies would now have a "more timely, cost-effective way to link new and legacy data".
