SAP targets colleges with IQ-Campus

NEWS SAP is to release a software package aimed at helping colleges become more cost-efficient. The component, called IQ-Campus, is part of the ERP (enterprise resource planning) giant's R/3 range. It manages budgets and human resources and offers improved services for students. Dr Henning Kagermann, co-chairman and CEO of SAP, said the software could help to turn higher education into a more service-oriented industry. The package will be piloted by three universities across the world, including Newcastle University.
