NEWS SAP has embraced the Internet by unveiling a Web-oriented business strategy and a range of ecommerce products. The strategy, called mySAP.com, consists of four elements: Employee Workplace, a personalised, role-based user interface; the Business Scenarios range of Internet and intranet products; a portal site at http://www.mysap.com offering an online marketplace for firms to collaborate and conduct ecommerce, and a Web-based application hosting service aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises. The ERP (enterprise resource planning) giant said it will also make all its products Internet-enabled and will offer Web access to all features of its market-leading R/3 ERP product.
