NEWS Web company BiblioTech is offering a free digital camera to the first 500 schools to sign up to its online education community. A spokeswoman for the company said today that 35 schools have already logged on since the offer was launched yesterday afternoon. The online community - called schoolmaster - is a free, secure portal which features no advertising. The spokeswoman explained that BibioTech is offering the service for free because it is aiming to raise a profile in the online education market. Schools tempted by the offer need to get at least 50 students and 5 staff members to register at the http://www.schoolmaster.net site
