NEWS German-based developer, SuSE, has shipped its latest version of Linux to software retailers in Europe and the US. SuSE 6.1 is powered by the new 2.2.5 Linux kernel, which includes expanded support for Symmetric MultiProcessor systems and multimedia devices. It also contains the KDE 1.1 and Gnome 1.0 graphical user interfaces. SuSE 6.1 is available from Best Buy, Borders, CompUSA, Fry's, Hastings, Microcenter and Waldenbrooks.
