Symantec adds weight to Java

NEWS Symantec has upped its commitment to the Java development language by adding technology to its Visual Café Enterprise Suite. The company claims EJB Universal Framework will make it easier for software developers to target applications from multiple vendors. The new product includes wizards and tools that let developers create Enterprise JavaBeans templates - leaving programmers to concentrate on the business logic of an application. Currently in beta, EJB Universal Framework is set for release by early July and will be available to download for free to current Visual Café Enterprise Edition users.
