Kraft intranet gives staff food for thought

NEWS Food producer, Kraft Jacobs Suchard (KJS), has launched an intranet for 1,000 employees in Cheltenham, UK. The system was designed and implemented by Computasoft Consulting. The KJS Information Site will act as a central information hub for staff at KJS's three Cheltenham sites. It is based on Lotus Domino software and holds information in three key business areas: the company, brands and people. KJS plans to roll out the system across its five UK sites later this year. Howard Greene, human resources director at KJS, said: "We needed to find a partner to design and implement a system tailored to our needs. Computasoft's longstanding expertise in this area meant they were ideally placed to work with us on this project." KJS products include Kenco coffee, Dairylea cheese and Bird's instant custard.
