NEWS Global Telematics, the joint venture between Racal and European Telecom, has won a five-year contract to supply its fleet management system to Parcelforce Worldwide. The contract is worth £1m in hardware to equip the 9,000 vehicle fleet, with airtime revenues thought to be worth at least a further £2m to the company. Global Telematics will use its Orchid vehicle tracking, fleet management and communication system to fulfil the contract. In a written statement, managing director, Edward Belgeonne, said that with sustained growth the company would be trading profitably in the second half of the year.
