Psion unveils Java palmtop

NEWS Psion has launched the latest version of its 5 series palmtop computer - and it runs on Java. The model, called the 5mx, provides mobile Internet and email connectivity. Users get 16MB RAM, together with a 36MHz processor and a Windows-style interface. It also has a CompactFlash card slot for increased storage requirements. Psion also announced a roaming agreement with Gric Communications, giving 5mx users global access to news, travel and local information, accessed through the nearest Internet service provider.
