US public sector opts for Oracle

NEWS The majority of major US government agencies have announced a widespread implementation of Oracle's public sector applications. The ERP (enterprise resource planning) suite has been chosen by 10 agencies including the Federal Aviation Authority, the Federal Reserve Board and the US Postal Service. Jay Nussbaum, executive vice president of Oracle Service Industries, said the Federal Agencies selected Oracle because they needed a product that is low cost but reliable.
