NEWS Honeywell Hi-Spec Solutions has launched a Web site designed to act as an information portal for the manufacturing industry. The company claims http://www.myplant.com provides a site for buyers and sellers to swap information and do business. It also provides advice from academics and consultants. The site offers information on a range of software solutions from different vendors, including Honeywell. It also provides free trial versions of selected programs for download, which the company claims will make it easier for users to test products before they buy. Honeywell is a supplier of advanced applications, training, and services for the hydrocarbon processing, chemicals, and pulp and paper, and oil and gas industries.
