NEWS Nortel Networks has merged its wireless and wireline businesses into a single global unit, called Nortel Networks Wireless and Carrier Solutions. John Roth, vice chairman and chief executive officer at Nortel Networks, said service providers are being forced to redefine their business as voice and data, and wireline and wireless services, converge.
