NEWS ERP (enterprise resource planning) vendor, PeopleSoft, has completed its acquisition of Atlanta-based Distinction Software. PeopleSoft said the deal strengthens its business ecommerce software for consumer goods makers, allowing it to offer end-to-end supply chain management to manufacturers and distributors. The firms have been working to integrate their technologies since December. PeopleSoft says over 50 customers have licensed the resulting software modules, called Demand Planning and Inventory Planning.
