Regulators issue price-fixing warning to UK utilities

NEWS UK utilities will face fines of up to 30 per cent of their turnover if they are caught engaging in price-fixing or anti-competitive practices. The regulators of the gas, electricity, telecoms and water industries have announced that they will make full use of the powers given to them by the Competition Act. The Act also provides protection for companies willing to give detailed information about pricing cartels.
