BT announces eBusiness Awards nominees

NEWS BT has unveiled the nominees for its 7th annual eBusiness Innovation Awards. The companies include Dell, British Airways, Waterstones, Argos and PricewaterhouseCoopers. The awards recognise achievement in Internet, intranet and ecommerce innovation by businesses of all sizes. One of the largest companies on the list, Dell, has been nominated for a customer purchase and order support system which integrates with buyers' procurement systems. A smaller finalist is the Market Harborough Building Society, which has used the Internet to compete with larger rivals and has enabled it to attract customers from outside its traditional geographical market. The judges, who include e centre UK's director, Roger Till, and Mike Evans, president of the CSSA, will present the awards at a ceremony in London on 1 November.
