Sybase and SAP develop online ERP suite

NEWS Sybase's mobile and embedded computing division has teamed up with SAP to develop a set of tools for accessing enterprise applications over the Internet. SAP will integrate its R/3 system with Sybase's SQL Anywhere Studio's mobile technology for interacting with mySAP.com products. Terry Stepien, senior vice president and general manager at Sybase's mobile and embedded computing division, said the alliance will offer users low-cost access to enterprise-class products. Robert Wenig, chief technology officer at SAP, claimed the move will enable the companies to "jumpstart" application development of ERP products on mobile devices.
