NEWS Media company, Quantel, has signed a £1m contract with Oracle integrator, Fulcrum Solutions, for the installation of a suite of information management applications. Quantel is a division of Carlton Communications and is a manufacturer of editing and imaging equipment for the film industry. The deal includes the delivery of Oracle Financials, Manufacturing and Distribution which will allow Fulcrum to integrate its information management and business operations into one integrated system. The benefits, claim Quantel, are better reporting capability and improved transaction visibility which will provide support to its commercial operation more efficiently and at a lower cost.
